Dr. Holsteen
Dr. Dan Holsteen, DDS is a 1977 graduate of Louisiana State University and a 1982 graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. Following his dental training in Kansas City, he completed a hospital residency program with the Veteran’s Administration in Topeka, Kansas, before moving to Colorado Springs to set up private practice as Colorado Springs CO dentist. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Dan can be found riding his motorcycle, fishing, skiing the steep stuff, or searching high and low for the best barbeque, Mexican food and blues guitar music around.
Paula
Paula, our chairside assistant, is the extra pair of hands and eyes and ears that help Dr. Holsteen to take such good care of our patients. Paula’s love of dentistry, her tender heart for our patients’ needs, and her attention to detail and organization help to keep our days running smoothly and our spirits high. Paula’s hometown is in the Azores, and we love that she shares her love of her hometown and her Portuguese culture with all of us!
Liz
Our wonderful hygienist, Liz, brings 30 years of patient care experience to our office as she partners with Dr. Holsteen in the clinical care of our patients. Liz completed her hygiene training at the University of Southern Indiana before receiving her B.A at West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas. She has provided top notch preventive care for patients in Indiana, Texas and Georgia and it’s a great thing for us and our patients that she’s now in Colorado and a part of our team.
Liz enjoys hiking, walking with her black lab, Geneva, skiing our beautiful mountains, and rocking her workouts at the gym. She has tremendous energy and an infectious laugh, so it’s a treat for us and our patients to have her in the office!
Carol
Carol is the friendly face who greets our patients as they come into our office and she does a crackerjack job of assisting them when they reach out to us by telephone, text and email. Not only is Carol great at managing the details of our patients’ administrative needs, she’s the glue that holds us together during the day and keeps us moving in the right direction at the right time!
Carol brings to our office 30+ years of experience in dentistry and she trained and worked as a dental assistant before putting on her front-desk-patient-care hat in 2004. Carol moved to Colorado along with her husband, son and two dogs in 2018. She enjoys going to concerts and listening to live music (rock & roll preferred!), traveling, reading and watching movies, and is always ready for good Mexican food or chicken wings.
Jackie
Jackie, our office manager, handles the bookkeeping and financial management aspects of our practice as well as many of the necessary details that allow the rest of us to do our jobs each day. Jackie is a Colorado native who grew up in Colorado Springs and has made it her home most of her adult life. She may be behind the scenes much of the time, but without her we’d be lost.
